چکیده

The ground state phase transition in the distorted S = 1 kagomé Heisenberg antiferromagnet (KHAF) is studied by means of the perturbational calculation and numerical exact diagonalization method. For strong √ 3× √ 3 lattice distortion, the hexgonal singlet solid (HSS) ground state of the uniform KHAF is destroyed and a new singlet state, the large HSS (LHSS) state, which is globally different from the HSS state is realized. The quantum phase transition between these two singlet states is analogous to the Haldane-dimer transition in the S = 1 antiferromagnetic Heisenberg chain. The presence of this transition is fully consistent with the HSS picture of the ground state of the uniform S = 1 KHAF and supports the validity of this picture.

Magnetic ordering and fluctuation in kagomé lattice antiferromagnets , Fe and Cr jarosites

Jarosite family compounds, KFe3(OH)6(SO4)2, (abbreviate Fe jarosite), and KCr3(OH)6(SO4)2, (Cr jarosite), are typical examples of the Heisenberg antiferromagnet on the kagomé lattice and have been investigated by means of magnetization and NMR experiments. The susceptibility of Cr jarosite deviates from Curie-Weiss law due to the short-range spin correlation below about 150K and shows the magne...

D ec 1 99 2 Spin Tunneling , Berry phases and Doped Antiferromagnets

Interference effects between Berry phase factors in spin tunneling systems have been discussed in recent Letters by Loss, DiVincenzo and Grinstein (LDG) [1] and von Delft and Henley (vDH) [2]. As physical realizations, LDG proposed tunneling of magnetic clusters, and vDH proposed an anisotropic spin hamiltonian and the Heisenberg antiferromagnet on the Kagomé lattice. In these examples, for cer...

Above the saturation field, geometrically frustrated quantum antiferromagnets have dispersionless low-energy branches of excitations corresponding to localized spin-flip modes. Transition into a partially magnetized state occurs via condensation of an infinite number of degrees of freedom. The ground state below the phase transition is a magnon crystal, which breaks only translational symmetry ...

2 2 D ec 2 00 4 Ground state and low - lying excitations of the spin - 1 / 2 XXZ model on the kagomé lattice atmagnetization 1 / 3

We study the ground state and low-lying excitations of the S = 1/2 XXZ antiferromagnet on the kagomé lattice at magnetization one third of the saturation. An exponential number of non-magnetic states is found below a magnetic gap. The non-magnetic excitations also have a gap above the ground state, but it is much smaller than the magnetic gap. This ground state corresponds to an ordered pattern...
